This entire dress by Alexander McQueen is covered with pheasant feathers which I thought was not only super creative but very high end fashion. I mean it looks like somebody from the Capitol (The Hunger Games) would wear this dress. Nonetheless it looks gorgeous!

Les Misérables Trailer

Hi everyone! Please check out the trailer for "Les Misérables" here! Not only does it look fantastic, but I think we need to bring a LOT of tissues to the theatre. It's going epic, but super emotional.
  

If you don't know already Les Misérables is one of the greatest novels/classics of all time. It's written by the French novelist Victor Hugo. The movie is starring Hugh Jackman, Anne Hathaway, Russell Crowe, Amanda Seyfried, Eddie Redmayne and Helena Bonham Carter. What a cast, huh? Directed by Academy award winning director Tom Hooper for "The king's Speech" this movie definitely looks promising. I'm going to feature this book as Book of the Week closer to its release, and do a detailed analysis/review. So don't forget to read/reread it with me later in the year!

It's amazing how much information you retain from your high school courses! I still remember remember all the movies that we watched in French class! Not too much French music though, except for this song! There's just something so catchy about it! Even though I don't understand all the words, I just love this song! Check it out!

A R Rahman The Great!

What a lot of people don't know about A R Rahman is that he is a HUGE LEGEND in India, well before his stardom to the Oscars. Well before Slumdog Millionaire, this legend had already composed hundreds of amazing music! Hollywood and the outside world is just late to this party. He is one of the greatest music composers of our time! This multi-talented and multi-award winner is an inspiration to all music composers! I'm a huge fan!

Oh yeah, he also worked with famous people himself. This is the London Philharmonic Orchestra playing the imstrumental version of Nahin Saamne from the Hindi movie Taal! This orchestra is fantastic and one the greatest in the world too! Just let the flute, violin and the sitar transport you to a land of greenery, moonsoons, reverence and beauty! Simply brilliant!

When I look this, I think of these words: Respect, reverence, beauty, melancholy, wonder etc. Just revel at the composition of the photo. The balance between the colors is just fantastic! And sky here is actually more than two colors: blue, pink, gray, faded blue, bluish-pink, dark gray at the bottom. You always have to look for the subtleties. The glaze of the building. A Sprinkle of Glitter

The green, red and gold glitter stands out and makes the ordinary henna design quite unique! Especially since we know we can't keep the glitter (or the henna) on forever! Glee Season 3 Finale Review - A HUGE Disappointment

PLEASE NOTE: *Spoilers* and it's a short review because I REALLY don't have that much to say.

Let me start by saying that people are divided into two sides here - people who absolutely loved the episode and people who are disappointed/hated it. There is no middle ground! Unfortunately, I fall into the latter group. The songs choices were forgettable at best. In fact, I don't even remember which songs they played, that's how mediocre they were. When you don't rush to search up the song on YouTube or iTunes right after an episode of Glee finishes, you KNOW there's something wrong! Remember, episode 3x14 - On My Way? They featured Cough Syrup by Young the Giant while Karofsky got bullied and tried committing suicide. Not only was I blubbering mess, but as soon as that song ended I rushed to YouTube for that song! Yes, there were times especially in seasons 1 and 2 where I did just that over and over! This does NOT happen in the finale...in fact most of season 3, sadly.

As for the plot itself...let's just say I tried my hardest not to fall asleep. Nothing huge happened other than preparing for graduation. Until the end, when the writers decided to drop some pretty BIG bombs on us all! Here we go...out of Rachel, Finn and Kurt only ONE got accepted at their dream college. And I'm pretty sure people can guess who that is without even watching the episode. *eye roll* I mean SERIOUSLY? How could Kurt not get accepted to NYADA after that fantastic performance? I just really wanted to throw my TV out the window...Finn didn't get in either, although I think that was more obvious. So now we are kind of at a stalemate with Finchel. Rachel got accepted while Finn didn't. What do we do? Rachel decides to stay with Finn and Kurt (and of course, get married to Finn) until they can apply again next year. On the way to their wedding, (and this is where it really starts to fall apart) Finn tells Rachel that he can't come with her...it's been her dream since she was little blah, blah blah. At that point, Rachel's already a blubbering mess. Totally understandable. Then Finn says that he's gonna join the ARMY! WHAT???!!!! Where did that come from??!! I mean yes, they kind of hinted us with his father's situation, but REALLY?! Come on! It was completely random and dropped out of nowhere...So the ending = Finchel are separated, and Rachel goes to new York.

Wow. Just wow. (Lone man at the end clapping) ...So who is excited for season 4? -___-

Hey everyone! Welcome to the newest blog on the block! I chose the title "Wandering Explorer" mainly because this blog will be about absolutely anything and everything! I'll be "exploring" A LOT of things! For example, I won't just restrict myself to talking about books, although that will DEFINITELY take up a HUGE portion of the blog posts! As you can already guess, I'm a voracious reader!

Aside from books, I will be covering movies (blockbusters and classics and the latest ones), TV shows (mostly the recent ones) and music (I listen to anything that sounds good to me)! Celebrities and the media are a huge part of all of our lives, so obviously I'm gonna talk about that! So basically I'm gonna talk a lot about pop culture, trends, hypes and try to cover all the latest buzz!

Aside from all things POPULAR, I will be rambling about life in general. You see, I'm a student at the University of Calgary (so I'm gonna talk about uni life, duh!). I'm gonna talk about our city, the weather (trust me, if you live in Calgary, there's always something to say about the damn weather!), a LOT of pet peeves (*sigh, that is gonna be a never-ending list), and about other cultures. I love talking/experiencing about different cultures since I'm from a different background, but I really love how we (Canadians) promote multiculturalism as well!

This brings me to my next point...I'm nerd in the truest sense so you're gonna see a LOT of nerdy/geeky/academic things as well (I know, I know! I'm sorry, but I can't help it)! Another thing I'm very passionate about is charity work/volunteering/all things humanitarian! You're probably rolling your eyes by now, but I definitely believe in "Making a Difference"! As you can see already...when I say anything, I WILL be talking about almost anything!

Writing is a HUGE part of my life! Like, HUGE. I'm not joking. I will definitely be sharing some of my own writing as well as promote other people's writings as well! So please keep out an eye out for that! I'm gonna be posting funny memes and gifs (stuff that I like and think are funny), and a lot of quotes too! So this is just an "brief" (yup, I'm crazy) overview of what this blog will be about. What can I say? There's a WORLD out there that needs to be explored!

So please join me and let's explore this world. This is a place for all of you to rant as well so please feel free to voice your thoughts. And if you have any suggestions, LET ME KNOW! I would keep the swearing to a minimum, but if you feel very strongly about something, I' m not gonna get in the way of your thoughts! So welcome everybody and let's get this party started!
