Yummy Wontons!

It had definitely been a while since I had wontons. So when I had wontons at my friends house last week, I totally pigged out!

The Monkey Man

If you've ever read The Kite Runner, you'd remember the monkey man that Hassan refers to in the letter that Amir reads out. Today, I came across this picture, and it reminded me so much of that moment!

I'm taking a small break from all the fangirling and going into a more peaceful mode. Actually more of a philosophical and analytical mode.

When I look this, I think of these words: Respect, reverence, beauty, melancholy, wonder etc. Just revel at the composition of the photo. The balance between the colors is just fantastic! And sky here is actually more than two colors: blue, pink, gray, faded blue, bluish-pink, dark gray at the bottom. You always have to look for the subtleties. The glaze of the building. The birds in flight...simply beautiful. This particular mosque is the Mecca Masjid from Hyderabad, India. Check more of out Pramod's photography here!

A Sprinkle of Glitter

The Henna itself is very ornately designed, but the composition of the photograph is what's so striking about it! Don't you think? The green, red and gold glitter stands out and makes the ordinary henna design quite unique! Especially since we know we can't keep the glitter (or the henna) on forever! What will be left when this is washed away is the tattooed design in the most brilliant, richest shade of dark red-orange/maroon!
